Brian Beckwith

Brian S. Beckwith is a founder of Arcus Healthcare Partners, LLC, based in Atlanta, Georgia. He is an experienced executive with a successful track record in P&L responsible roles, leading all aspects of business strategy and implementation. Brian has diversified experience in all sectors of healthcare with specific focus on equity and debt investments in healthcare real estate. Until June 2020, Brian was Chief Executive Officer of Formation Capital, LLC, in Atlanta. In that role for nearly a decade, he was responsible for all operations of the private equity firm of 50 professionals and transitioned the entrepreneurial team to a highly functioning senior care sector leader. Brian led investing activity that resulted in over $1.5 billion of equity deployed and served in numerous board roles for firms including the largest independent domestic hospice provider, the largest nursing home operator in the US and the largest social care operator in the UK. From 2008 to 2011, Brian was Senior Managing Director of Real Estate at GE Capital Healthcare Financial Services in Chicago. He delivered over $290 million in net income and $2.7 billion in new lending volume for all US healthcare real estate financing. His career at GE began in 1998 with management roles in the company’s lending to pharmaceutical, hospital, physician, long-term care, medical office, and device sectors in the US and UK. In the mid-1990s, Brian held management and analyst positions at Taylor Consulting Group, Inc.; Dun & Bradstreet Software; and Delta Air Lines, Inc.; all based in Atlanta. Brian holds an MBA in Finance from Georgia State University (1995), a BBA in Finance from the University of Georgia (UGA) (1991), and a Chartered Financial Analyst designation (1998). He serves or has served on the UGA Terry College of Business Alumni Board, the National Investment Center for Senior Housing and Care (NIC) Board, the American Senior Housing Association Board.
