Since 1978, Dan has devoted his career to “pushing the envelope” in humanizing the living environments for older adults. Through a singular focus and extraordinary communications skills, he and his projects speak to how space and place making can exceed the expectations of his clients, investors and consumers.
As one of the lead principals in Perkins Eastman’s international senior living practice area, Dan has collaborated with more than 200 national senior living organizations, developers, and operators. Combining his strengths in scenario planning, brand strategy, research, new product development, and master planning, he works directly with clients to help them envision their future business models. Dan strives to be a “real partner” to clients and his teammates alike, serving as a thought leader inside and outside of the firm.
Dan also brings his passion to the broader community as a facilitator, contributor and faculty to LeadingAge, ULI, UNT, CLAS, Alzheimer Association, UDC, UIC, AJAS, Senior Living News and IAHSA.
