Melanie is Vice President of Investments at National Health Investors (NHI), where she supports the company’s investment strategy and senior housing growth initiatives. She advanced into this role after leading NHI’s Senior Housing Operations Portfolio (SHOP), where she oversaw operating partner relationships and portfolio performance.
With more than a decade of experience in senior housing across investments, asset management, and operations, she has held leadership roles with Avamere, MorningStar Senior Living, Healthpeak Properties, Inc. (NYSE: DOC), and Holiday Retirement.

Prior to her senior housing career, Melanie held progressive leadership roles in finance and accounting across multiple industries and served as a licensed residential real estate broker in Oregon. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from the University of Phoenix.
