Ms. Watson leads the Research department as part of the Capital Markets and Investor Relations team within Corporate Finance at Welltower (NYSE: WELL). She has served the company in various asset management, reporting and investor relations roles since joining the firm in 2002.
Welltower Research offers a competitive advantage through the early identification of trends that enable the company to act in the market before other stakeholders. This advantage benefits our long‐term corporate strategy, our investment strategy and our capital markets outreach. Ms. Watson’s team reviews materials related to senior living, housing, health care, real estate, the economy, and the regulatory and legislative environment and creates summaries as well as proprietary research that is circulated to executive management and throughout the firm to inform all areas of the business. Ms. Watson was also one of the authors of the October 2018 Welltower Report entitled “Health Systems and Post-Acute Care: An Evolving Perspective.”
Ms. Watson graduated Cum Laude with a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Toledo. She served as a course instructor for the Erickson School of Aging Studies Executive Program, has been a speaker at several industry conferences, and served as part of the NIC MAP Technical Task Force in 2004/2005. She served on the Board of Unison Health from 2009-2016 and as Board Treasurer from 2012 to 2016 and has also served on various committees within the United Way Women’s Initiative, including its Advocacy Committee.
