Stephani E. D. McDow has over 13 years of experience in the development, implementation and management of professional development and training programs, and diversity, equality and inclusion (DEI) programs. An entrepreneurial, strategic and forward thinking non-profit executive with a track record of demonstrated success, Stephani has developed innovative programs focused on adult learning, non-dues revenue generation, program scaling and streamlining, and personal/professional growth as well as unconscious biases related to Black, Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC) and anti-racist education. Also a poet and writer, Stephani has been published in online and print publications and literary journals, and pursues this passion alongside her drive to advocate for social justice as well as help and encourage others through writing, speaking, training and volunteering. Her pedagogical approach is to enrich, empower and engage.
Stephani received a bachelor of arts degree in humanities with a minor in English from the University of Maryland University College. ¬¬¬¬Ever mindful of personal growth and being an organizational and systemic change agent, Stephani has broadened her scope with post graduate studies in clinical mental health counseling at Trinity Washington University; and diversity and inclusion focused training at The Conference Board along with achieving American Society of Association Executives’s (ASAE) certificate in association management. Stephani is currently a candidate for the Association for Talent Development’s Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD) certification. Stephani is a native of Washington, DC and graduated from the prestigious Duke Ellington School of the Arts.
