Brian Cannella is responsible for sourcing all debt and managing lender relationships for Kayne Anderson Real Estate’s (KA Real Estate) opportunistic and core equity funds. During his tenure at KA Real Estate, Cannella has closed more than $2B of transactions in the student housing, seniors housing, medical office and storage sectors. In addition, Cannella serves on the pre-screen committee for KA Real Estate’s real estate debt platform. Prior to his capital markets position, Cannella underwrote and executed property acquisitions and developments across all sectors.
Prior to joining Kayne Anderson in 2013, Cannella worked in various capacities as a financial analyst/associate for a large brokerage as well as investment and construction companies in New York City.
Cannella earned a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Union College and an M.B.A. in Finance and Investments from the University of Notre Dame.
