Raised in Columbia, MD, Steve has always had a passion for architecture and the built environment. After studying architecture at Syracuse University, he returned to Baltimore to start his career in his hometown. After five years of practicing architecture, he saw an opportunity to have greater impact on the built environment as a developer. Steve returned to business school, earning his Master of Science degree in Real Estate and Infrastructure Development from Johns Hopkins University while at Corporate Office Properties Trust.

Upon graduation, Steve joined the development team at Brightview Senior Living in 2018. Throughout his tenure Steve has held a variety of positions within the development team, initially leading development projects, and now leading our development team as we bring dynamic Senior Living Communities to life throughout the mid-Atlantic and northeast.

Beyond his core duties and role at Brightview, Steve is often involved with mentoring student interns, community advocacy efforts and volunteering with the Urban Land Institute both locally as well as nationally.

Steve carves out time to pursue his passions outside of his profession, traveling the world with his husband Joe, hiking in the mountains, and rock climbing wherever he can find a rope.
