Sessions

Building on the panel discussion from Active Adult Forges Ahead, this interactive workshop will enable attendees to drill down into challenges and innovations in development, operations, investment, and finance with facilitators who are working in these areas directly. Smaller group break-out discussions will focus on the future landscape of active adult properties and how to address scalability, segmentation, affordability and capital for growth. 

What You’ll Discover / Key Learnings 

• Development-focused groups will discuss segmentation of product, solutions to cost and speed of delivery and other constraints to adding supply.
• Operations-focused groups will discuss how to build and retain great teams, deliver on the expectations of resident lifestyle and engagement and how the scale to create efficiencies at both the corporate and property levels.
• Investment and Finance groups will discuss stabilized asset performance over time, availability of equity and debt to drive the next wave of supply and creative partnerships with operators and developers align incentives and optimize performance.

Session Goals 

Produce insights and potential solutions to the identified opportunities and constraints in the three key topic areas to carry forward in future NIC active adult publications and sessions as well as for participants to “take home” for discussion and implementation within their organizations.
