David Young is a Managing Director at Locust Point Capital. He is responsible for cultivating, growing, and maintaining relationships with operators, sponsors, brokers, and financial intermediaries. This involves structuring senior, unitranche, B-tranche, secured and unsecured mezzanine debt as well as preferred and joint venture equity investments for senior housing and care opportunities. This requires keen attention to a real-time understanding where capital markets are at all times as conditions evolve with particular focus on intercreditor mechanics and underlying financing availability and terms. He is fueled by his wife and five children who are his inspiration and admiration. They are the sine qua non of his abilities. Having come from the operations side, most recently as Chief Financial Officer with a focus on turnaround strategies for a regional operator and before that as Vice President of Finance with a focus on debt and equity programs executing over $1Bn in transactions, he knows the blocking and tackling of operational success. Prior to operations, his feet were firmly planted in the capital side as he had worked at Lancaster Pollard executing agency, placements, and finco deals. Mr. Young holds an MBA from the University of Notre Dame and a B.A. from New Saint Andrews College.
