Ryan Frederick is the leading authority on Place Planning — a research-backed framework that examines how where you live shapes health and quality of life across four dimensions: Environment, Health, Community, and Financial wellbeing.
Ryan has spent over 20 years working at the intersection of place, aging, and longevity — partnering with organizations across senior living, health care, real estate, and financial services to help them understand and respond to how consumers and families make decisions about where and how to live as they age. His work bridges the gap between what today’s consumers want and what the senior living industry needs to deliver.
Ryan is the author of the bestselling Right Place, Right Time: The Ultimate Guide to Choosing a Home for the Second Half of Life (Johns Hopkins University Press), and his insights have been featured in the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, CBS News, and Forbes.
He serves on the Advisory Council of the Stanford Center on Longevity and was part of the inaugural NIC Future Leaders Council. Ryan is a graduate of Princeton University and Stanford Business School and lives in Austin, Texas.
